A big
Roadrunner Thanks to our colleagues from across UTSA who—starting November 7—submitted more than 130 names for consideration
in the Purchasing Platform Naming Contest.
Because the interest far exceeded expectations, a crack team of Business Affairs hotshots narrowed the submission list to the top 20.
Between November 30 and December 7, nearly 400 members of the campus community rated each of the top choices. The race was tight…but the winner emerged with the most “Love it” and least “Please, no!” votes.
The new name for the online Purchasing Platform
is The Rowdy Exchange.
The name was submitted by
Sara Aguilar, Academic Advisor II, Life and Health Science Advising.
Sara was informed of her winning entry during an exciting (and embarrassing) visit by Financial Affairs on Dec. 13. She’ll be redeeming
her gift cards from UTSA Dining Services and the Rowdy Campus Store, thanks to our colleagues in Campus Services. (The
cards make great stocking stuffers!)
Congratulations, Sara!
In the months ahead, we’ll be
learning more
about this exciting new system for buying goods and services, which will launch in May.
