Purchasing Platform Naming Contest
In May 2017, the Purchasing and Distribution Services department will introduce SciQuest to UTSA. Used by more than 100 higher education institutions, this
21st century purchasing platform simplifies and streamlines purchasing and approvals. SciQuest offers the university cost savings, standardization, consolidation, and improved business processes. It helps individuals more efficiently buy products and services
they need, while helping the university keep a handle on costs.
To help users understand this new purchasing system, we want to give SciQuest a more user-friendly, descriptive name. That’s where you come in. Help us
develop a name—replacing “SciQuest”—that will be used throughout UTSA to describe this new system. We’re holding a contest, and you can enter the name you think we should adopt for our new purchasing program. Just email your recommended name to vpbaoffice@utsa.edu on
or before November 21.
·
Name should be unique to UTSA, not copied from another school. Creativity is encouraged.
Then you and your colleagues can vote on your top name choice between November 29 and December 7.
The names selected for voting will be posted on the Business Affairs website. We’ll send you email reminders to make sure you get a chance to vote.
We’ll announce the winner and our new logo before the winter holidays. The winner will earn huge accolades and some terrific UTSA swag.
