Bio: Laurie Long is the Quality Assurance Coordinator for the Laboratory Animal Resources Center, overseeing compliance with AAALAC International, USDA, OLAW, and CDC standards. With 29+ years in laboratory animal science, she specializes in audits, training, and quality systems. An active member of AALAS (National and Texas Branch, LAWTE, and IACUC, she presents nationally and internationally on compliance, ethics, and animal welfare.

In this session, you will learn about:
1. Overview of Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)

2. Animal care regulatory compliance and its critical link to sponsored research administration
