Re: Updated FY26 UTSA Budget Template
by Justin Marmolejo
Hi Liz,
Since there is no good time to release this, we are leaving it up to the Sr. Research Administrators to use their best judgement on when to implement the usage of this budget template.
Thanks,
Justin

Hi Justin,
Do we have a date for if someone is right in the middle of a proposal and they’d have to make budget changes? Like, can we still use the previous version if they are about to route and have a due date of next week?
Please advise.
Thanks,
Liz

Re: NSF GRFP applications
by Jennifer Silver
Thanks, Mike! We can agree to this process for this year, too.
The proposal application is submitted by the student directly. GRFP fellowships applications by UT San Antonio students tend to be awarded to another institution, the fellow’s declared graduate program.
UT San Antonio GRFP awards declared by an incoming graduate student, as stated in their fellowship award letter and the associated application, need to be routed through OSP before their stipend PID is set up.
Here is a link to the GRFP administrative guide.

Hi Liz,
Last year for the NSF GRFP’s application process, the Cayuse proposal doesn't need to be routed through OSP.
For dashboard and credit purposes, please verify in the Routing form that the Advisor (UTSA
Faculty) gets 100% credit, and the pre-award tab is completed after submission confirmation

Hi All,
I vaguely recall that last year we were told that we were not routing GRFP applications with NOI/cayuse. Can someone please remind me?
Thank you 😊

As of September 1, 2025, the ACOB College Research Administration (RA) Team and the VP, President, and University Areas RA Team have come together to support ACOB, CAICC, VPR units, VPBA units, and all University Centers and Institutes.
With this new structure, we've created dedicated Pre-Award and Post-Award Pods designed to meet PI needs and support the continued growth of research. In the weeks ahead, we'll be sharing centralized pod contact details and individual team member portfolios to make it easy to connect with the right support.
Our RA staff will be working with faculty and both past and current support staff to help ensure a smooth transition. We're grateful for your patience, partnership, and collaboration as we move forward together.
