Update on Federal Shutdown and Sandia’s Plan
Thursday, October 23, 2025
Valued Subcontractors:
A message was sent to members of Sandia workforce today outlining Sandia’s plan if the
federal shutdown continues. All subcontractors should continue to work according to the
terms of their subcontract, unless notified otherwise by their Subcontracting
Professional.
Some programs will begin to exhaust funding in early November. If the program your
subcontract supports are impacted, the buyer will inform you of the need to stop work.
If the shutdown persists, Sandia may move part of the Winter Shutdown holiday period to
the week of November 24. Subcontractors will receive further correspondence with
additional guidance should this occur.
Please contact your Sandia Delegated Representative (SDR) with questions.
