Subject: [Rowdy.research] NEW PeopleSoft Auto Generated Report for PIs
Hello,
RAs, you are probably waking up to a number of emails in your inbox similar to the one attached. This is a new auto generated monthly report from PeopleSoft for PIs to help track the financial status of their projects.
I would advise that you create a rule in Outlook to send move these emails to a separate folder to not clog your inbox. (I received 1,094 report emails myself overnight).
Thanks,
Justin

This is the email that will be sent to PIs (the sample report detail was de-identified):
Hello,
A new auto-generated PeopleSoft report has been created that will be sent out monthly to help Principal Investigators (PI) monitor the financial status of their sponsored award(s).
The new Project Review Report will provide a financial snapshot of the authorized budget, expenses, encumbrances, the remaining balance, and a % of funds available for each active Project ID in a PI’s portfolio.
Reports will be emailed for every active Project ID greater than 90 days from the start date and less than 90 days from the end date. The email will be sent to the PI and the assigned research administration team around the 10th of every month. Below is an example of what the report will look like.
Thanks,
Office of Sponsored Projects

Research IT is providing us with a list of the active faculty. Once we have the list, we will email the PIs from OSP(a)utsa.edu to announce the report.

Re: NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program - Reference Letter Submission Deadline due this week
by Jennifer Silver
Hi all,
Routing this for PI credit of the proposal is a courtesy since the proposal is submitted by the student. If you want OSP to finalize the pre-award tab, please contact Ana or Cedric.
This fellowship is very prestigious so best wishes to all of the applicants and hopefully, UTSA will receive more fellows joining UTSA to do research.
Thanks!
Jennifer

Hi Ana,
So, this is a change in process. That is fine and we will follow that now.
One question we do have from our team is, are we allowed to complete the pre-award tab now? I was told that was OSP.
Please clarify.
Thanks

Good afternoon everyone,
We discussed the NSF GRFP application process and decided that the Cayuse proposal doesn't need to be routed through OSP.
For dashboard and credit purposes, please verify in the Routing form that the Advisor (UTSA Faculty) gets 100% credit, and the pre-award tab is completed after submission confirmation.
Let us know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,
Ana
