Subject: End of Term Update
End of term processes for the Fall 2014 semester are just about complete. Academic Standing is available now. An e-mail to dismissed and probation students informing them that their grades and academic standing are available in ASAP has been sent. Those of you who routinely receive reports of dismissed students from me will receive them shortly.
Dismissed undergraduate students will be dropped from their Spring schedules before the end of the day. I will be turning off spring registration for this process and it should be down for approximately 15 minutes. Dismissed graduate level students will be dropped by the end of business on January 9, 2015.
Thanks,
Melissa

Just a little reminder of our impact
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
Advising team,
I wanted to share part of a message a December graduate has written about his advisor:
"...I am happy to say that I will be starting a new career right after graduation! ....Thank you so much for your help these past 2+ years! ...without people like you believing in me I probably would not have been able to recover from all the hard times that presented themselves. .....I will for sure be thanking you after I walk across that stage Friday and sit down to pray at dinner with my family. You may have been behind the scenes, but you were there for me more than most. When most people would have left for me to figure it out on my own, you stuck with me and believed that I could do it, which in turn helped me to believe in myself again."
Happy Holidays!

I've updated Banner to reflect accreditation and acceptance of transfer credit from Texas A&M San Antonio as of the Spring term of 2015. For those unaware, we have been awarding transfer credit to this point under the umbrella of Texas A&M Kingsville and their accreditation.
The Board granted initial accreditation to:
Texas A & M University-San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas (Level III)
(Formerly accredited as part of Texas A&M University Kingsville)

Subject: FW: Non Course Based Success Program for TSI Students in Math, Reading, & Writing
Barbara,
Good Morning. Would it be possible to forward this email to the advisors about NCB?
Thank you & have a great holiday,
Cyndi
Good afternoon. We need your help in getting the word out about courses specifically designed for students not achieving TSI College Ready status in Reading, Writing, and Math. The Non-Course Based (NCB) Success Program is a time proven solution for students that find themselves in a non-college ready status. The majority of the students that enroll in this course achieve college ready status in just one semester. A very unique part of the program is that in addition to classroom instruction, each student has an individualized educational success plan and an assigned tutor for the semester.
One of the challenges in getting the word out and getting students enrolled is that a student must be registered by their academic advisor. The course design and eligibility requirements are specified within the updated UTSA Developmental Education Plan (dtd. 18 Oct, 2013). In accordance with the plan (pg. 24), all students scoring within the following score range are eligible and required to be enrolled into the NCB Program courses:
MATHEMATICS TSI Score 340-349 NCB 0200
WRITING TSI Score 336-362 NCB 0700
READING TSI Score 336-350 NCB 0700
This is a free, non-credit bearing course for students and successful completion of the course fulfills all TSI requirements. Please note, when enrolling these students the registration shows a "1.25" credit hours listing; this is a system default to ensure each student is tracked and the university is reimbursed funding.
I have attached a brochure for your convenience that includes more information about this exciting program designed to help students quickly achieve college ready status.
If you have any questions about the program or about enrolling a student into one of these courses please do not hesitate to give me a call.
Thank you for your assistance, we look forward to assisting these students.

Steps to clear temp internet files:
Control Panel
Internet Options
On General Tab
Check Delete browsing history on exit
Click on Delete tab
On the pop up window, uncheck the Preserve Favorites website data (if you don't this will delete your favorites-Yikes, don't want to do that.)
only have the following boxes checked: Temporary Internet files and website files; Cookies and website data, History
Click the Delete button (This will start the process of erasing so it might take a few minutes)
Click Apply
If you still have problems after doing this, please send a note to DegreeWorks(a)utsa.edu<mailto:DegreeWorks@utsa.edu>. Thanks!
