Angel Olivarez has accepted a position with CGI Group, an IT consulting company based in Canada but with offices around the world, including here in San Antonio. Angel has done a tremendous job working with the EARN, DegreeWorks, and Global projects, training advisors, and so many other things, both when she worked for OIT and more recently as an employee of Academic Advising. We will miss her expertise with the technology-related advising tools and her enthusiastic can-do attitude, but this is a great opportunity for her, so I wish her the very best. Administrative Assistant Appreciation Potluck

As you all know, the administrative assistants do so much for our centers, from taming unruly students, making sure our timesheets are completed and supporting our teams through purchasing, planning and more! With that in mind, the directors have planned an Administrative Assistant Appreciation Day on February 9. On this day, we are asking the advising community to provide a potluck lunch to show our appreciation for the administrative assistants. We would love for all to enjoy a meal together that day. It will be a time of appreciation, networking and food (and hopefully a fun way to de-stress).
