Summer
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
Good morning,
It was brought to my attention this afternoon that students admitted to UTSA for the summer 2016 semester from another institution had inquired with advising about trying to register for 9 hours for the summer semester and were told it was impossible to take 9 hours in the summer and were limited to 6 hours.
After receiving this message, I thought it would be important to provide some points of clarification so everyone is on the same page.
1. As you are aware, the University's big push has been to increase summer enrollment in person and/or online for not only current students, but also to students from other schools.
2. The target goal for the summer 2016 enrollment is 70,000 SCHs (10,000 students). As of March 21st, the summer enrollment is at 49,755 SCHs (7,810 students).
3. The only students limited to 7 hours for the summer are those on academic probation or academic warning.
Thank you for your time,
Barbara
