display of Student Catalog in DW
by advising@lists.it.utsa.edu
As I posted earlier today, students who are or have been enrolled in both undergrad and grad programs at UTSA now have both/all their degree audits displaying in DegreeWorks. One glitch that we're aware of is that at the top of the audit, where Student Catalog is listed, only the most recent catalog year will display, usually the year of their graduate catalog. The undergrad audit is still run against the correct undergrad catalog-only the display of the catalog year is incorrect.
If you are reviewing that audit of a recent graduate who has been accepted into grad school at UTSA, you can click on the drop-down menu under Degree at the top of the audit to display the undergrad audit. Although the Student Catalog displayed at the top of the audit is probably not correct, there are two ways to find the correct catalog. First, you can look for a recent frozen audit in History, to the left of the DW audit screen. Second, you can look in Banner at the student's SGASTDN record for the semester of graduation.

undergrad and grad audits
by advising@lists.it.utsa.edu
Last week it was reported that the undergraduate audits of several recent May grads were no longer appearing in DegreeWorks, and only graduate audits were showing for them. We believe that problem has now been fixed, and both undergrad and grad audits should appear for all applicable students.

[You Can Come Out Now Monday's Over Have a Happy Tuesday Facebook ...]
Happy Tuesday Everyone!
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend and it was not too hard to open up your work computer this morning.
If you need a little break to re-center yourself, I invite you to join in below breathing exercise. Listen to the sound while you whistle
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale deeply through the nose to begin
Inhale through your nose - pucker your lips, exhale and make a whistle sound
Inhale through your nose - pucker your lips, exhale and make a whistle sound
Inhale through your nose - pucker your lips, exhale and make a whistle sound
Inhale through your nose - pucker your lips, exhale and make a whistle sound
Return to your normal breath and bring your awareness to your cheeks, jaw and throat. Acknowledge the sensation you experience.
Now reverse:
Inhale through your mouth and make a whistle sound - exhale through your nose
Inhale through your mouth and make a whistle sound - exhale through your nose
Inhale through your mouth and make a whistle sound - exhale through your nose
Inhale through your mouth and make a whistle sound - exhale through your nose
Return to your normal breath and bring your awareness to your tongue. Acknowledge the sensation you experience.
Take a deep breath in through the nose and exhale deeply through the nose to end.

Subject: Inspire release 5/22/2020
Good afternoon,
Starting Friday, May 22, 2020 Inspire will have some changes as a result of an update. Additional information is provided below.
• Update Title
o Walk-In Appointments and Calendar Improvements
• Reason for the Update
o From Civitas – “We are improving how advisors create and show walk-in hours availability by implementing a new tab within the Calendar to create walk-in hours just like advisors can already do for scheduled advising slots. We’re also improving how we record the modality of an appointment to better account for all of the ways that students meet with advisors. Students will be able to see the distinction between appointments they need to sign up for and walk-in hours for drop-in appointments. There is also enhanced reporting to capture the types of interactions students have with their advisors.”
• What will change?
o See attached document.
o The update will be released directly to production which means we will not be able to test the functionality of the update until after it occurs. We will provide you with the UTSA protocol and how to instructions next week.
We appreciate your patience and understanding. Please let us know if you have any questions.
Respectfully,
Angie
