The restricted role allows only certain logins to access the database, so batch processing (AppWorx) can continue running. This means that most area processes will not be impacted (only those dealing with financial transactions). We will notify you when the Banner database is back online but we hope to have it available before noon on Tuesday, September 1st. ASAP and portions of the mobile app will also be unavailable during this time. If any of you are involved with posting information on your social media sights then you might want to post a comment about the down time to avoid confusion for the students. We have put a mechanism in place that allows staff to refer these students to the One Stop Enrollment Center for financial assistance. The student does not have to be receiving financial aid to receive this assistance. This is an excellent service to our students and we should use this opportunity to keep our students here at UTSA. Registration Process 9/2 - 9/9

Hello Academic Advising Community, While it is the first day of the Fall 2020 semester, you may already have been asked about even later registration time frames by students you have been assisting. From the Registrar's Office: A link to the Late Registration form will be made available under the Registration section of the Registrar Forms https://onestop.utsa.edu/forms/registrar/<https://nam03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fonestop...> page. It will let students know that they will only be able to submit it from 9/2 to 9/9. This is going to be an electronic process similar to the prerequisite override process! Students should be advised of the impending deadline to late register or make changes to their schedule by Tuesday, September 1st on ASAP. The Late Registration form has only been processed for students when there is a documented university error. We will send a follow up email when this form is on the website. ONL Students in Residential Sections

Hello Advising! When providing a student with an override at a course level, please approve the override with a specific CRN so that students don't inadvertently enroll in an ONL restricted section. For reporting and tracking purposes, we need to make sure our residential students are kept completely separate from our ONL, Option III student population. *When speaking about residential students, I am referring to main campus, downtown campus, and INET students. When referring to ONL students, I am referring to 100%, Option III, fully online degree-seeking students.
