Honors News:
[523316FC]Honors has a new Student Development Specialist we would like to introduce you to. Welcome Fernando Cordova! Fernando is currently serving as an Student Development Specialist at UTSA working with the Special Programs within the Honors College. This position assists, facilitates and executes day-to-day operations and carries out programming including recruitment, selection, mentoring and logistical support for students in Honors College Special Programs including Terry Scholars, Top Scholars, Citymester, Archer Fellowship, Legislative Scholars, and others. Please help us in welcoming Fernando to the Honors College family!

Fall 2022 courses open to all utsa students with a 3.3 GPA or higher!
The Honors College is offering the course(s) below to all UTSA students who have a 3.3 GPA or higher. Non-Honors students can join Honors classes through filling out this simple form<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fforms.o...>. Honors will confirm the GPA, register the student for the course, and then send them a confirmation of registration. It’s as easy as that!
HON 3223.005: Truth, Power, & Madness. The Work of Michel Foucault, TR, 10:00-11:15AM, online synchronous. Instructor: Dr. A. DeLeon. Description: Truth. Knowledge. Power. Madness. Using Foucault’s work as our lens, we will explore these Big Ideas in UTSA Special Collections' archives. Each student will design their own unique project, diving into how Foucault's work can change the way we think about the world.
HON 3223.006: Trailblazers, Disruptors, Influencers, and Game Changers: A Systematic Study of Out of the Box Individuals, T, 4:00-6:45PM, in person. Instructor: Dr. M. Arreguín. Description: What can we learn from local, national, and international leaders making a difference in today’s world? This course focuses on a systematic study of creativity and giftedness. Students will conduct case studies on gifted, creative leaders across the world.
GES 4953.001: Socially Sustainable Public Places, T, 10:00am-12:45pm, hybrid. Instructor: Dr. N. Bagheri. Description: We explore, examine, and evaluate what brings sustainable public places to life by experiencing them firsthand. Students will take field trips to several public spaces in and around San Antonio metropolitan area. Students will engage in a hands-on, team-project in which they digitally visualize and map the selected public spaces.
