Good morning,
The community college block has been removed in DegreeWorks for all students in the
2020-2022 catalog. This block was causing issues, which was one of the reasons for
removing it. If you ever had a student who had an elective missing and you did an
exception to pull it in, only to have another course kicked out, more than likely the CC
block was causing that problem. Removing the block also allows DegreeWorks to look at all
available community college courses, and then use the ones that the student needs for
their degree first, rather than going in order from newest to oldest. This means the need
to add XJCO to a course will be greatly reduced.
Even without the block, there is still a restriction in the degree block that only allows
a maximum of 66 community college courses.
The count for community college hours is above the degree block.

If, after hitting the Process button, you see any students that still have the CC block or
do not have the count above the degree block and they are in 20-22, please send an email
to DegreeWorks@utsa.edu<mailto:DegreeWorks@utsa.edu>.
