Yolanda, I wish to join Barbara in congratulating you on being named the recipient of the 2014 University Life Award for Outstanding Academic Advisor. For many years, I have been aware of your dedication to serving our students well, and of the many innovations that you have put in place to assist the students that you have been given the responsibility to advise. I was not surprised that you were named the recipient of this award. Thank you for the excellent service that you provide our students. Yolanda's promotion of this University core values and purpose, which includes character, collaboration, respect, and service to the campus community, is why so many students here at UTSA have such high regards about her. Yolanda Davis adds continuity and positive growth of UTSA student life. She provides the consistency and communicates the goals, legacy and history to future generations of the UTSA. She contributes to the education and personal development of the students involved here at UTSA. Yolanda takes an active role, rendering advice and counsel as circumstances dictate.
