[Advising] Reminder about Online Cyber Security Courses

All, Good afternoon! It was great seeing all of you yesterday at the All-Advisor Monthly Meeting! I wanted to send a quick reminder, as we get into full swing with Fall registration, about the Online Cyber Security courses. If you are placing an override (M1, Q1, P1, etc.) for any Business or Information Systems courses that are in the Cyber Security degree plan, please make sure you are placing section-specific overrides. Our Online Cyber Security courses are restricted to our admitted students only, due to our funding differences. Generic overrides, unfortunately, allow students to enroll in any section, regardless of section distinction. I have been in conversation with technical folks on campus to see if this issue can be remedied easily and have not had any success as yet so I ask for your cooperation in making sure your students are not enrolling in Online Cyber Security courses (with section CY1). I also check enrollment periodically so if I come across anything, I will let you know! Thanks for your time and attention today!
