[Advising] New Update- Dual Credit Courses

Good morning everyone, Starting fall 2016 all incoming first time Freshmen who has taken dual credit, will not count in a student transfer GPA. The dual credit hour will count in earned hours and the courses will satisfy degree/program requirements. You will continue to see our new Freshmen with dual credit in our system as a "DA" just as we have for transfer student "TA". The One Stop Enrollment Center will consider implementing more codes in the future such as credit by exams. Their focus is to reduce the amount of hours that can affect the 30/45 excess fees and the tuition rebate if students have excess credit and potentially they will be ineligible for Texas B-On-Time loan forgiveness.
