Good Morning!
I hope you're having a great Friday! As the Modern Languages and Literatures (MLL)
department liaison, I'd like to provide you with a few updates and reminders.
I'm excited to inform you that the department has made some leadership changes. Dr.
Whitney Chappell Whitney.Chappell@utsa.edu<mailto:Whitney.Chappell@utsa.edu> has
been appointed as the New Department Chair, and Dr. Michael Rushforth
Michael.Rushforth@utsa.edu<mailto:Michael.Rushforth@utsa.edu> will continue to serve
as the Assistant Department Chair. Moving forward, if you have any substitution or
petition requests or need assistance with study abroad credit evaluations, please email
both Dr. Chappell and Dr. Rushforth.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to share some additional information about the
Spanish Heritage courses. The Heritage sections of SPN 1014: Elementary Spanish I are core
classes and fulfill the 040: Language, Philosophy, Culture requirement. For more details,
you can find an FAQ document attached.
Don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about courses or anything
related to the MLL department. I'm here to assist!
Have a great weekend,
Anna
