I will be sending out information to the BIOChemistry majors to see if there is interest. ______________________________________________________________________________ The UTSA Teacher Certification Advisory Committee, which is the governing entity over the UTSA Teacher Certification Program, met in Nov. 2014 and made the following changes to the program. Effective Immediately - the teacher certification program will now be accepting the BS-Biochemistry as a teacher certification track. This track will allow a teacher candidate to get the 7-12 Science Composite certificate. Thirty hours of education courses will be required for the certification, but not for the degree. It will be treated the same as our BS-BIO degree program. Students will have a primary advisor in the Life and Health Sciences Center and a secondary advisor in the IDED Center (Kimberly Perez, Allegra Castro, Amanda Flores).
