Howdy, In an effort to be more transparent about the issues we are working on and to improve communication within the advising community, the Academic Advising Council (AAC) will now be sending out monthly updates to the advising listserv that include the main topics of discussion from our meetings. We will also be uploading our meeting notes to the council website (http://utsa.edu/aac/) each month in case anyone would like more information. Meeting notes can be found under the "Meetings" tab. Meeting notes for the past few months have not been uploaded yet but will be soon. Other documents, such as our yearly reports and survey results, will also be posted to the website under the "Development" tab as they become available. October 2014 Meeting Discussion Topics: 1. 2014 Advising Survey Report is being completed and will be released the week of 10/13-10/17 2. All-Advisors Training/Workshop opportunities & ideas for Fall a. Alamo Colleges/UTSA Summit moved to 10/31 at Northwest Vista College b. AAC training ideas 3. Freshman/Transfer Orientation 12/11 & 12/12 a. Transfer ORI now required, but there is an online option 4. DegreeWorks problems a. Planner tab operating slowly or crashing when trying to open saved plans 5. All-Advisor Appreciation will be Downtown (date TBD) a.
