Hello,
We would like to provide some clarification about where to submit requests regarding
transfer course adjustments.
* If a student has an approved petition to use a transfer course toward the core,
please submit those to DegreeWorks@utsa.edu<mailto:DegreeWorks@utsa.edu> so that we
may tag the course with the appropriate core code in Banner.
* If a course is tagged on the transcript with a core code, but the core code is not
in Banner, please submit the information using the "Transcript/Course
Evaluation" request type under the Enrollment Operations Processing Request
Form<https://www.utsa.edu/enrollment/facultystaff/admissions/> so that it may be
sent to the transcript processing team.
* Other issues related to transcripts (e.g., missing courses), should also be
submitted using the "Transcript/Course Evaluation" request type under the
Enrollment Operations Processing Request
Form<https://www.utsa.edu/enrollment/facultystaff/admissions/>.
We also wanted to provide some additional guidance on when to submit a
"Transcript/Course Evaluation" request using the Enrollment Operations
Processing Request Form.
If a transcript in xtender shows a "Routing Status" of
"TO_BE_EVALUATED" (see below), a ticket does NOT need to submitted to ensure the
credits are awarded. This status means a transcript is already on the list to be
processed, and the transcript evaluation team processes transcripts in the order that they
were received. If a course on the transcript is needed to satisfy a prerequisite for one
of the student's next courses, a prerequisite override may need to be issued in
Banner.

A ticket may need to be submitted if credits on the transcript have not been awarded and
one of the following is true:
1. The Routing Status column is blank (see the first image below), or
2. It has a Routing Status of "EVALUATION_COMPLETE" or
"ADM_REVIEWED" (see the second image below)
NO STATUS LISTED

EVALUATION COMPLETE or ADM REVIEWED

Another thing to note is that a transcript in xtender may show transfer coursework that
another institution accepted. For instance, a student may have completed coursework at
both SAC and ACC. The student submits the transcript shown in the image below from SAC.
The "R" in the "Typ" column indicates the student completed SPCH 1318
in Residence at SAC (the institution that issued the transcript). SAC also accepted
transfer credit for GOVT 2306 and HUMA 1305 from ACC. These Transfer credits are
identified by the "T" in the "Typ" column. They may also show grades
such as "TA" similar to what we do at UTSA. Credit will not be awarded for the 2
ACC courses using the below SAC transcript. The student would need to send a transcript
from ACC to receive credit for those courses at UTSA.
