I was a military kid and have lived all over the world. I have lived in Texas the longest now. I completed my bachelor's in psychology from UTSA in 2021 and I completed my master's in educational psychology from UTSA in 2023. While I was in both my bachelor's program and master's program, I worked as a reader grader for the psychology department, as a graduate research assistant, and as a Supplemental Instruction Leader/English tutor through the Alamo Colleges. In my free time right now, I am reading a lot, but my hobbies rotate often (I also like to crochet and draw). My name is Larry Ynman and I am beyond excited to be part of the UTSA Advising Team. I was born and bred right here in San Antonio and this is my 22nd year of working in student services in higher education. I graduated from UTSA with my Bachelor's Degree in Communication and subsequently earned my Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University. Every student can be successful and my career has been devoted to helping students become something they never thought possible so being home again at UTSA is amazing. In my free time, I absolutely love spending time with my two teenage daughters Marina and Sofia, playing with my cat Sheldon, volunteering, reading and learning, enjoying cooler weather whenever possible, traveling, binging my favorite shows, and taking a nap.
