Please, allow me to introduce myself; my name is Carlos Alberto Pinto Jr. I am thrilled to be joining the esteemed UTSA Advising family! I was born in San Francisco, CA, and raised in the Rio Grande Valley Region of South Texas specifically, La Feria, Harlingen, and Edinburg, Texas. I graduated from San Antonio College with an AA in Liberal Arts & an AS in General Science, The University of Texas at San Antonio in the Fall of 2021 with a BA in Multidisciplinary Studies with concentrations in Philosophy, Business Administration, and Sociology. I have, through Alamo Colleges, Social Media Specialist and Human Resources Specialist certifications. I have spent the last nine years working in higher education in various roles, but most recently as a Registration Specialist, a Health & Safety Officer during the quarantine, and an HR Administrative Assistant all with the Alamo Colleges system. In the UT System, I have worked as a Community Service Officer at UT-Rio Grande Valley and as a Visitor Services Representative with the UTSA Institute of Texan Cultures. My hobbies and pursuits include collecting comic books, pop culture collectibles, antique books, and memorabilia from my fraternity Tau Kappa Epsilon. I love to movies, read books, practice Iaido and play video games. I enjoy spending time with my family, pursuing knowledge, and finding adventures & misadventures alike in my free time.
