Good afternoon,
Attached is the application form that advisors can provide to students, who meet the
criteria(minimum scores-highlighted below), that they'd recommend participate in the
Course Pairing Project. The application forms are to be submitted by the student to Susan
Sandoval in Testing Services. Attached is the memo that was sent out.

Subject: Course Pairing Project
Barbara,
Here is an application form that advisors should use to recommend students for
participation in the Course Pairing Project. There is one change of the form that is
different from the information in the memo that I sent you earlier in the month regarding
the Course Pairing Project. In order to participate in the Writing Component, a student
must have received a score of at least 353 on the writing section of the TSI Assessment
with an essay score of a least 3 and a score of at least 341 on the reading section of the
TSI Assessment. In the memo, I used the word "or" rather than "and."
Please provide the advisors copies of this form and urge them to recommend students for
participation in the program. Susan Sandoval will collect the applications.
Ideally, the participants should be first-time freshmen, but any student meeting the
qualifications may apply to participate. This is a great program for students with TSI
deficiencies, but who just barely missed passing the TSI Assessment.
Thanks.
Larry
