Description of Job Duties
UNDERGRADUATE STUDIES
1. Coordinates Undergraduate Studies office
a. Reports to Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies
b. Works as Assistant to the Associate Dean
c. Works closely with Director of Undergraduate Studies and Director of Business Studies
Advising
d. Manages academic petitions, appeals, and reinstatements to the College of Business
e. Uses Banner and DegreeWorks to analyze requests and prepares them for Associate
Dean's review
f. Uses Webi and Data Warehouse to prepare enrollment reports and inquiries for Associate
Dean and COB Departments
g. Creates and processes electronic documents such as purchase orders, reimbursements and
travel.
2. Assists with Admissions Process of the College of Business
a. Sends notifications of admission
b. Receives appeals/manage communications with students
3. Assists with recruitment of new business students to UTSA
a. Schedules events on and off campus
b. Prepares materials for distribution
c. Arranges and prepares room reservations for meetings. Follows-up with paperwork and
assures room is ready for event. Makes arrangements for equipment, if needed.
ACADEMIC PROGRAMS
1. Assists with Business Scholars Program
a. Processes admission and merit awards of BSP students
b. Compiles program data and prepares reports.
c. Helps market program
d. Interacts with university departments, special groups and external agencies to
coordinate programs.
e. Prepares documents in Banner, ASAP and Blackboard.
f. Attends events and help with set-up and take-down
2. Assists with Entrepreneurship Programs in the College
a. Compiles program data and prepares reports.
b. Helps market program
c. Interacts with university departments, special groups and external agencies to
coordinate programs.
d. Prepares documents in Banner and PeopleSoft.
e. Attends events and helps with set-up and take-down
STUDENT PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
1. Assists with programming in the Center for Student Professional Development as needed.
