Update on Honors Block in DegreeWorks – the Honors block in DegreeWorks no longer impacts
the degree progress! Honors is not degree-granting, so matter the status of the student’s
Honors progress, it does not impact or impede their ability to graduate with their degree.

Honors Opportunities for All Students:
What is Citymester?:
Citymester<https://r20.rs6.net/tn.jsp?f=001lrEIrWfpXlc1RJ8CTZ7KBWa2pMr...
is a student engagement initiative developed by the Honors College through which UTSA and
community partners work together to educate our future leaders using internships,
service-learning projects, and networking opportunities. This program includes a
professional internship, community service, and engagement with community leaders across
the city of San Antonio. Participating in Citymester will count as three experiences for
the Honors College. However, you do not have to be a part of the Honors College to
participate. With Citymester, the city is your classroom.
Eligibility - The Citymester Program is available to undergraduate students of all majors
and areas of study, and we welcome a diverse array of student interests and backgrounds.
Students do not need to be members of the Honors College to be a part of the Citymester
Program. All UTSA students can apply! No prior internship experience is required! Program
dates: May 28th - August 7th.
Students must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply:
· have a UTSA GPA of 3.25 or higher (students that have a 3.0 GPA may email
citymester@utsa.edu<mailto:citymester@utsa.edu> to petition)
· be enrolled at UTSA for the semester prior to the beginning of Citymester
· commit to 10 weeks of a full-time, in-person program based in San Antonio
Applications for Citymester are now open! The direct application link can be found
here<https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=-40iOkfGy0SIN...;.
The application will close on January 15, 2024. Citymester staff can also meet from
December 4th to January 12th via 1:1s to chat with students about how Citymester may work
for them and review application materials. You can schedule a meeting with the staff
here<https://outlook.office365.com/book/HonorsCollegeSpecialPrograms@u...;.
