GCO wanted to let you know that students can now withdraw their graduation applications on
their ASAP account! The online submission on the registrar's website has been removed,
so students must submit the printable form or log into their ASAP account.
Also, as I'm sure you're aware, there has been confusion regarding the Public
Health major. Although the major reports to Life and Health Science, the major is split
between two concentrations, Epidemiology and Disease Control and Health Promotion and
Behavioral Science. The epidemiology concentration is with the College of Liberal and Fine
Arts. This is the college these students should be walking with, the college their name
will be under in the commencement program, and the college dean's signature that will
be on their diploma. The health promotion concentration is with the College of Education
and Human Development. This is the college these students should be walking with, the
college their name will be under in the commencement program, and the college dean's
signature that will be on their diploma.
Students are not to choose between ceremonies without a valid reason and they must email
GCO with their request. Please help us spread the word by informing your public health
students what college they should identify with.
Let me know if you have any questions and please forward this along to your staff.
Thanks for all you do!
