Subject: Before First Day of Class Withdrawal Change
All,
There has been a slight change in how students drop all their classes before school
begins. Currently, there are two ways a student can remove all courses and receive a 100%
refund. (1) drop all classes one by one on ASAP which results in an EL code with DC for
all the classes (2) click the withdrawal button which results in a WS code and WS for all
classes. Option 2 was causing an error in how students were reported to the National
Student Clearinghouse which could result in an audit finding. Option 2 was also making a
student run into difficulties if they changed their mind and wanted to re-register.
Now, option 1 is the only option.
I have attached a guide (if you withdraw a student from the desktop). ASAP has also been
changed (see below). After the first day of class, then we start using the WS code and
students hit the withdrawal button.
Summer does not change. Feel free to ask questions.
