Contacts within Honors for more information Honors News: Upcoming changes in the Honors College Dean Sean Kelly, who has led Honors for six years, will be stepping down but he is not going far. Dr. Kelly will begin a new role at the UTSA College of Liberal and Fine Arts as described in this announcement. Dr. Jill Fleuriet will serve as the Interim Dean, and UTSA will soon begin a national search for the next permanent dean. Honors Opportunities for All UTSA Students: Did you know that after priority registration, any student with a UTSA GPA of 3.3 or higher can enroll in Honors courses? It's just a simple matter of filling out this form<https://utsa.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_eyVNEREGlU2ddRQ>;, and sending the form to honors.advising@utsa.edu<mailto:honors.advising@utsa.edu>. Highlighted Benefit for Honors College Members: Did you know there are different paths<https://honors.utsa.edu/academics/requirements/paths/> for graduating from the Honors College? * Honors College Graduate - students who have completed all Honors curricular & GPA requirements. This designation is indicated on the diploma and the transcript. * Honors College Graduate with Distinction - students who have met the Honors College Graduate eligibility and completed 3 additional Honors electives or experiences + completion of a capstone requirement. This designation is indicated on the diploma and the transcript. * Honors Member - students who did not complete all the curricular requirements to graduate with Honors but have at UTSA GPA of 3.0 at graduation. This recognition is designated on the transcript. *If a student does not meet the Honors requirements in the semester of graduation, they can let their Honors Counselor know. Their Honors Counselor can update the coding so the student is still eligible to graduate with Member status, but the Honors block will no longer show in DegreeWorks. The Honors Stole & Laurel Ceremony is a special ceremony that recognizes our Honors graduates by presenting them with the Honors stole. The ceremony takes place each fall and spring semester, on the day prior to commencement. The Fall 2022 Honors Stole & Laurel Ceremony is set for Monday, December 12th.
