The Spanish Department has started a Heritage Speaker program, and attached you will find some information regarding these courses. Unfortunately, SPN 1034 will not count towards the core curriculum until the 17-18 catalog. A Heritage speaker is defined as: "A student who is raised in a home where non-English language is spoken, who speaks or merely understands the heritage language.
