Good afternoon team,
In order to assist our students with the changes in the registration processes and
schedule, below are some guidelines and answers for helping students navigate.
An email went out Oct. 8, 2019, to students to indicate the holds they currently have that
will prevent registration. The individual email that indicates their access times will go
out prior to registration opening Oct. 21, 2019.
Things to remember:
* It is critical that students understand and register during their designated
registration timeframes. Registration outside of their designated times is restricted and
exceptions will only be made in the Registrar’s Office due to university error or unusual
circumstances.
* We have updated the One Stop page to indicate that earned hours do not include those
courses in which a student is currently enrolled.
* Earned hours for students are available on ASAP or SHATERM in Banner. We will
include earned hours on students’ individual access email. Instructions for students:
o Log onto
ASAP<https://nam03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=http%3A%2F%2F...;,
click on the “Student Services” tab
o Select “Registration”
o Then “Check Registration Status”
o From the drop down Select Term menu, choose Spring 2020
o Under the “Earned Credit” section, add “transfer hours” and “institutional hours”
together for your total earned credit hours
**Attached is a registration status guide, Check your Resource guide will be provided next
week by Advising Administration
* Applying for graduation after notification. Applying for graduation does not
automatically allow a student an earlier registration time; the application must be
reviewed.
* Changes to students’ designated registration time can change for the following
reasons:
1. Transcripts are evaluated into academic history.
2. New credit awarded due to AP and/or CLEP accepted and Dantes exams awarded.
* Please have students review their earned hours closer to their designated
registration time. If students have been impacted by A or B (above reasons), then refer
students to the Registrar’s Office(458-7070) or email
Daniel.Garcia1@utsa.edu<mailto:Daniel.Garcia1@utsa.edu>,
Alejandra.Holt@utsa.edu<mailto:Alejandra.Holt@utsa.edu> or
Eric.Cooper@utsa.edu<mailto:Eric.Cooper@utsa.edu>.
* Please have the students provide the initial email with the incorrect
designated access time.
* If One Stop counselors or academic advisors send an email on the student’s
behalf, please cc the student in the correspondence.
* Schedule modifications(add/drop) for current Fall 2019 courses:
* Students can only access ASAP during their designated registration time,
processing will have to be done by One Stop enrollment staff.
* Students can visit One Stop for in person processing or send an email to
Records@utsa.edu<mailto:Records@utsa.edu>
* Notations will be made in SPACMNT
* Staff members can use SGASADD to determine whether or not a student is a member of a
priority group. The priority groups are listed below. If a student is not listed in one
of the priority groups and he/she should be, please refer them to the corresponding office
for verification. Students flagged by Student Disability Services are not identified in
the published web or online priority groups. All students will received a personalized
email with their designated time.
