He has worked at UTSA since January 2015. His experience as part of UTSA Academic Advising began as an Academic Advisor I in Interdisciplinary Education and as an Academic Advisor II in Math and Physical Sciences. Karl was the first recipient of the George Bergquist Award in his first year as an academic advisor. This award was created to honor the memory of Mr. Bergquist to reflect his exemplary student-focused advising approach, positivity, and teamwork. Karl is excited to begin his new role supporting the Engineering advising unit. She has worked for the University of Texas system for over 10 years. Her experience includes advising students at South San Antonio High School as part of a UT-Austin program, UTSA Enrollment Services Officer I/II in Student Financial Aid & Enrollment Services, and as Academic Advisor I/II in Interdisciplinary Education since July 2014. She is excited to begin her new role as part of the Life & Health Sciences advising unit.
