Outlook Calendar/SSC Sync Work Around

Hello all,
At the most recent SSC workflow meeting some issues were mentioned about the way appointments show up in Outlook (and Campus). I wanted to present an option as a way to work around them to add a second calendar in Outlook that will look like the old way. This calendar can be printed and viewed on phones (though I haven't tested it on an iPhone [Android all the way!] but I would expect it to work just the same since it is a website). The second calendar will need to be manually updated with appointment information, but I expect some won't mind to have it list student information exactly as you'd like it. Also, other people will not have access to this calendar, unless you give them permission.
This is what your synched calendar currently looks like:

To set up:
Right-click on your current calendar from the menu on the left side of your screen and select New Calendar...

In the pop-up window, give your new calendar a name and then select OK.

You have now set up your new calendar. Be sure that the calendar is checked in the menu on the left for it to show.

To print the calendar, let the appointment calendar be the only calendar selected from the menu on the left then go to File and Print as normal.

EAB Scheduling Emails

Good Afternoon,
The Athletic Advising office uses EAB to schedule tutors and we also sometimes put practice and lifting times in there so that we don't overlap appointments. Now that all advisors are in EAB, any advisor with an athlete will get these scheduling emails. While this will happen throughout the semester, this weekend and next week will have a high volume of emails as we set tutors up for the first time this semester. It's a tedious process that takes time, so you may get emails that mention appointments along with emails that mention cancelations as we move things around to get them all in the right place.
I know that some advisors have already called our office about events that have been scheduled today and if there are other questions or concerns moving forward, please don't hesitate to contact us. While the majority of these emails can be ignored, there is not a way for us to turn off this notification system.

GCO is happy to announce that degrees have officially posted to transcripts for the summer 2016 semester! Students may now request their official transcript with their degree shown at transcript.utsa.edu. We will no longer be writing letters of degree awarded and will begin printing diplomas hopefully next week. Tuition rebate for undergraduates will not officially be processed until late-September.
