Dear Colleagues,
Tanya Orndorff, Director of International Student and Scholar Services and Assistant Director Courtney Balderas-Jacob, have agreed to post remarks in SPACMNT concerning any international student they refer to their assigned Advisor. The purpose is to provide Advisors with information they can use to help international students complete required forms and documents during advising sessions and better understand what the student needs from the International Programs Office.
This is part of a collaborative effort to strengthen the lines of communication between Advisors and the Office of International Programs, as we all serve the international student community here at UTSA.
Best,

2014 All Advisor Appreciation Ceremony - Breakfast
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
Good Afternoon Everyone,
I wanted to let every know that the Agenda for the Advisor Appreciation Ceremony incorrectly listed "refreshments" from 8:00 - 9:00. The appropriate term should be "continental breakfast". This will include bagels, fruits, veggies, tacos and of course coffee, juice and hot chocolate.
I know everyone is planning for the morning commute and the question of what is for breakfast will come up.
Thanks and we will see everyone at the Downtown Campus in the morning.

The Items on this list below are daily use items and the Shelter takes in donations year round. We will collect items through Friday, December 12, 2014. If you have items to donate, please let your Center Advising council representative know. Each representative will be responsible for accepting the donations for the center.
As you go about your Shopping for the upcoming Holidays, please remember the items on this list. Anything you can provide can help.

Welcome our newest advisor!
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
The Life and Health Science Advising Center is happy to have Sara Aguilar as our newest Academic Advisor II. Sara's previous position was with the Student Placement Advising Center, and prior to the restructure, she was a PACE advisor at the TRC. I had the pleasure of working with Sara at the TRC for many years, so I know first-hand the expertise she will bring to LHSC. She has worked with undeclared, provisional, international and exited student populations to name a few. She was also the liaison to the College of Sciences Undergraduate Advising Center, so she brings some "science knowledge" with her. We are glad to include Sara as part of our team! Please congratulate her if you have the opportunity!
WELCOME ON BOARD, SARA!!
