Reminder About Online Cyber Security Courses
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
Good morning everyone!
As spring registration gets into full swing, please note some very important information regarding the online Cyber Security courses.
Our courses are not state funded and due to this funding difference, students who are not declared Online Cyber Security cannot be enrolled in any courses with the Online Cyber Security major restriction.
Please do NOT override students in residential majors/minors into any of our online courses, even if it works better with their schedule.
We cannot mix/match enrollment in residential courses and online Cyber Security courses due to this important funding difference.
Ben and I are presenting at the next All-Advisor Training and will answer any questions at that time.
Thank you for your attention and cooperation!

Pre-requisite (P1) Override for BIO Students
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
Advisors,
Dr. Sunter and Dr. Lundell have approved advisors to set P1 overrides for student that can show their advisor proof of completion or enrollment of a pre-requisite course. This group of students do not have to be sent to the BIO department for this type of override. Please keep in mind that this is the ONLY type of override that has been approved for advisors to place into the student's record. If there are any other situation requiring an override, the student is to still go to the department for approval and for the override to be set.

Subject: Rowdy Chili Tip-Off Information
Hello everyone,
I hope this semester is going well for you! There are a few updates regarding the Chili Tip-Off event that I would like to share.
The link to participate in the event on November 13th is now live!!
Find it here:
https://utsa.campuslabs.com/engage/submitter/form/step/1?Guid=24232656-5a...
I have also attached a flyer for the event that you can send out to promote, as well as the rules for the contest.
Student Affairs has graciously decided to join in and help make this event a huge success. There will now be a DJ as well as other fun additions that will make this an exciting event. Students will also now be provided with hot dogs and nachos in addition to the delicious chili.
4 lbs of ground beef will now be provided to each entry that will be cooked onsite in the UC Catering Kitchen.
The volunteer portal for 2018 Final Four Street Team is now expected to go live November 13th so students/staff can sign up at the event.
If you need tracking information for those who sign up for volunteer shifts stay tuned for an email at a later date.
We would also like an update if possible on what your organization/department is doing or will do to promote and help get students motivated and excited about the Chili Tip-Off and Street Team.
The deadline to sign up to participate in the Rowdy Chili Tip-Off is quickly approaching. Please register online by November 3rd if your department or organization plans on having a chili entry.
Best Regards and Go Roadrunners,
Ashley Lawhorne, CTA
