In an effort to assist students with the registration concerns or issues UTSA has set up a communication portal. The messages from this portal are being reviewed by advising administration and handled or routed to the appropriate area for clarification or assistance. Please be on the lookout for these messages.

DegreeWorks JR Day Update Pt. 3

Hello once again,
DegreeWorks should be back to normal now. You no longer have to hit the Process New button all the time.
The PDF button is working again.
The pre-req checker is turned on.

DegreeWorks Update

After making an exception, when you go back to the Worksheet, you will have to hit Process New for the exception to show up.
We've also received reports that certain changes in Banner are not being reflected in DegreeWorks, even after hitting the Process New button. The two we've heard of so far are adding an AIS attribute in SHATRNS and changing an advisor in SGAADVR. We're looking in to it.
Also, the PDF button is not working. I'm guessing it has to do with the changes OIT made but we'll look in to it too.

Banner & Degreeworks

Good morning,
As you already know, Banner and DegreeWorks are running extremely slow. As a result, OIT is turning off the refresh button on the audit since there is a distinct pattern which is slowing and shutting down systems. Also, the administration has decided to turn off the prerequisites to see if this will assist both systems with running. We do not know how long they will be off but we do not want to advertise this to our students. Advising Administration will have to run script and notify students if they get into courses for which they do not have pre or co-requisites for just we do after grades post.
We will continue to monitor the situation. Thank you for your patience.

DegreeWorks problems

Today is the first day of registration for juniors, and DegreeWorks has stopped responding when we try to pull up audits. I talked to OIT, and they say that registration is slow as well. They are talking with Ellucian to try to resolve the problem.
