[Advising] Health Professions Office - Summer Services and Resources

Hello Academic Advisors, If you meet with students interested in pursuing a health profession pathway, then this is for you! Below you will find our Summer drop-in schedule along with some resources that may help current and incoming students during this orientation season. 🕒 Summer 2026 Virtual Drop-In Schedule * Tuesdays from 9:00am to 11:00am & Wednesdays from 1:30pm to 3:30pm * These are virtual only, 15-minute drop-ins * For more information, students can search for “Health Professions Virtual Drop-in Advising” in the Handshake Events page: https://utsa.joinhandshake.com/edu/events 🏖️You can encourage current students to: * Join virtually by registering in advance through Handshake to gain access to the Zoom link * Drop-ins are a great option for quick help with case-by-case pre-health profession inquiries * Students are also able to schedule a 1:1 appointment with our Health Profession advisor through the "Career Center" tab in Handshake. They would select "Schedule an Appointment" and select "Health Professions Advising" 🌞For incoming students: * While new students are usually not yet eligible to register for drop-ins or appointments in Handshake, they can begin exploring health career pathways and degrees required here: https://www.utsa.edu/healthprofessions/advising/explore.html * Additional recommendations: * Pre-Health Profession Checklist and Roadmap: https://www.utsa.edu/healthprofessions/documents/hpo-checklist-and-roadma... * Pre-Health Profession Worksheet: https://www.utsa.edu/healthprofessions/documents/hpo-lab-worksheet.pdf If you're advising a student who needs quick pre-health professions support, this is a great way to get them connected right away.
