In the past, the student would send us an email with the request and information. We have now moved to an online form on ASAP. Once the student logs in and goes to the Testing Services Office link, they will see this link

Log in using this link to authorize UTSA to download your TSI score from another Institution.

Starting in the fall term we will not be offering and KIN 1001 or 1101 courses in the coaching programs. Instead we will be teaching the content of those courses in the KIN 4413 courses along with theories and strategies. We are also eliminating the minor in coaching. We have revised the certificate program as seen below:

Any students wishing to complete the minor and are assigned to a previous catalog should enroll in a second section of KIN 4413 to enhance their qualifications or KIN 4123 to obtain the 18 hour requirement. We will work with any students who have already completed one or more of the KIN 1001 or 1101 courses using our KIN 3xx1 level courses, KIN 2211, etc. I will assist your office and students transition into the new requirements and fulfill their degree program.
Also, please be aware that we will be offering KIN 4413: Basketball in fall semesters, KIN 4413: Volleyball, and KIN 4413: Soccer in spring semesters, and KIN 4413: Football in summer semesters. This will allow students to perform their practicums (KIN 4943) the semester after their KIN 4413 course and during the sports high school/middle school competitive season. At this time we do not anticipate offering any other sports in our coaching program.

New Music Minors

Hello Advising Community,
There has been quite a bit of buzz and excitement surrounding the new minors from the Music Department, so I would like to share that information with all of you. Three new minors will be joining the traditional Music minor in the fall semester with the 17-18 catalog, and they are open to all students. As a reminder, students must declare any Music minor with the Music Department (ART 3.01.58). Advisors cannot add these minors as the Music Department needs to ensure the student possesses the musical ability to be successful in the courses.
Minor in Music Technology (previously a certificate)
To declare the Minor in Music Technology, students must interview with a Music Department advisor and submit the Declaration of Music Minor Form. All students must complete 19 hours.
A. Required Courses - 18 hours
MUS 3013 - Digital Music Production (fall, spring, summer)
MUS 3103 - Audio Technology I (fall, spring, summer)
MUS 3123 - Electronic and Computer Music (spring only)

9 week Success Marker Progress Reports have been sent to faculty

Week 9 of the spring semester has started and the second request for Academic Progress Reports has been mailed to faculty. The success marker courses and students are the same as in the 5 week progress reports and the process remains the same.
If an instructor provides feedback you should receive an automated e-mail. If you feel you need to meet with a particular student, you should add this student to your 'Academic Concern & Success Marker Appointment campaign', which runs from 2/6 - 3/21/17.
If you just recently met with this particular student you should reach out via e-mail to reiterate the severity of the situation. Deadline to drop an individual class and receive a grade of W is Tuesday 3/21/17.

The Success Marker Progress Reports were sent out to faculty today.
If the instructor provides information via the progress report, this information will be emailed directly to the students assigned academic advisor. The advisor should review this feedback and if necessary/appropriate invite the student through the 'Academic Concern & Success Marker Campaign' which runs from 2/6 to 3/21.
In some cases, you may have recently met with the student, when doing "Review and Connect", so you could simply send an email, from SSC, to the student reiterating key points.
