Excess Hours Waivers
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
Advising team,
We had a meeting this afternoon with our legal office regarding the excess hour waivers. Unfortunately the moratorium on waiving excess hours (30/45 hour petitions or C2G) will remain in effect until they receive a ruling from Office of General Council.
They are well aware of the challenge and awkward situation it is putting you in if the student wants to petition. As soon as I receive an update I will send an update.
Thank you for your patience.

Importance: High
Good morning,
The policy regarding Excess Hour Waivers options available to institutions is being reviewed. Please hold off on processing any additional 30/45 hour petitions and Contracts to Graduate (C2G). If you have a student coming in to do the petition or C2G let them know that the process is on hold and that you will get back to them once we have an update.
There is a meeting tomorrow afternoon so I'm hopeful a decision can be rendered rather quickly.
Thanks everyone!

No more notes to be entered into SSC Foundation
by advising@lists.sis.utsa.edu
This is a reminder that the 'tech team' has been working on the conversion of SSC Foundation into SSC Campus this week.
Any notes entered into SSC Foundation after Monday (see below) will not be copied into SSC Campus. You will need to save all your notes in your center's folder under I:/Academic Advising/1Orientation Notes
SSC Foundation and GLOBAL can still be accessed for viewing students' records.
If you have questions contact your center's director or Monica Glover or Sylvia Mansour
Thanks - Sylvia

Subject: [Advising] Reminder - today is last day to enter notes into GLOBAL
Importance: High
Dear All,
This is just a reminder that today July 13th 6:00 pm is the last day to put notes in GLOBAL and track e-mails and have it migrated over to SSC Campus.
GLOBAL will still be viewable after today, but any notes entered after today will not be transferred into SSC Campus. SSC Campus is planned to go live on Monday July 25th.
In the interim period for the orientation advising appointments you will need to save notes on a word document on the I: drive. You can save a separate word document for each student or save all your notes from your advising appointments as one word document. In either case the students name, ID (banner or abc123), advising appointment date, and advisor name need to be included before each set of notes. For the continuing students you can do the same or put the notes in SSC foundation until Monday July 18th. The notes in the word document will then be copied over to SSC Campus.
The folder to save the word notes in is I:/Academic Advising/1Orientation Notes and then your specific center.
For those critical emails between the advisor and student, you should save them in a separate folder in your Outlook for now.
If you have any questions please contact your center director or Monica Glover or Sylvia Mansour.
SSC Campus is almost here! Thank you for being flexible during these exciting times.
