WRC 1013 update

Here is an update from the Writing Program.
WRC 1013 is paired with an NCB course, per TSI state requirements. (We are piloting this pairing this spring). Students must apply to enroll in that class. If you need details, let me know.
There are 2 standalone WRC 1013 classes downtown. After running the numbers with Barbara Smith and Tammy Wyatt, these are the 1013 standalones that seemed to be needed.

Subject: Regarding Texas Southmost College and UT Brownsville
As you probably know, Texas Southmost College and UT Brownsville are in the process of "splitting the sheets". Unfortunately in the interim they will both use the same transcript paper however each will have the signature of their respective Registrar which will differentiate between the two institutions. The UT Brownsville transcript will be signed by Sylvia Leal and the Texas Southmost transcript will have the signature of Alex Salinas. I'm told that they will continue to use the combined transcript paper until August of 2015.
Students who attended both campuses, will need to request transcripts from each institution.
Please share with those that need this information.

AIS 1203 standalone

Good morning. Dr. Wyatt is aware that only 7 seats are open in the standalone sections of AIS. We are pretty sure that students who don't have credit for WRC 1023 were able to register for the standalone courses due to no restrictions in ASAP. I will let you know when the situation is resolved.

I hear from the Department of Chemistry that students are trying to enroll in CHE 1103 without satisfying the prerequisite/concurrent-enrollment requirement of MAT 1073. What I am told is that students are being advised that other math courses are sufficient. Please circulate to your staffs that MAT 1073 is the required course.

Duplicate Records in Global

Good Afternoon Advisors,
I will soon be placing a request to have the duplicate records removed from Global. Before the duplicate records are removed, I would like to check that everyone's settings are correct in Outlook. This will ensure that duplicate records are not still being created after the others are removed. Attached you will find some simple instructions for tuning off the record creating function in Outlook. Please follow the steps as soon as possible. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
