Good morning! :) Just wanted to send a quick message to let you know that at this time the 8th Annual AcademicAdvising Conference is looking for Committee members to assist in coordinating the October 2015 Conference.
The purpose of this Conference is to provide an opportunity for Advisors from UTSA and throughout the state of Texas to enjoy a day of networking, professional and personal development.
Volunteers are needed to help coordinate in the areas of:
o Marketing
o Donations and Giveaways
o Presentations and Programs
If you are interested in participating on the Conference team, please consult with your supervisor for time and commitment and contact me via email at jennifer.uranga(a)utsa.edu<mailto:jennifer.uranga@utsa.edu>. Please include what area you are most interested in volunteering for. :) If you are unable to commit as member of the Committee but are inteersted in possibly helping on the day of, please feel free to send a message for that too.

I am writing to you to ask for your help. We would really like to reach out to students and encourage them to learn more about AMS and, perhaps majoring or minoring in the program. If you have students who you think may be interested or may be a good fit, please talk to them about the program and encourage them to visit with me, Kirsten, or Jerry. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
We have also developed an AMS brochure and blog at utsa-ams.blogspot.com (we plan to increase our posting and notes of interest). Feel free to share these resources with students, as well.
