Funding Opportunities Dec. 4, 2024 NSF CAREER Information Session; NSF Virtual Conference; William T Grant Foundation

Greetings Colleagues,
I'm forwarding this announcement from the Office of Research Targeted Scholarly Awards group to remind potential NSF CAREER applicants of the info session tomorrow. There are a couple of notes I'd like to mention. Although the session will be recorded (in case you can't make it live), you must register for access to the recording. To be eligible for NSF CAREER, you must be junior faculty at the Assistant Professor level; however, the RFP stipulates that applicants must be Assistant Professor at the time of proposal submission in July 2025. You still would qualify if you will be promoted in fall 2025. There are a lot of proposal development resources available from the Office of Research including templates of proposal components, sample winning proposals, assistance with creating school district partnerships, consultants to assist in ideation and writing, and a review of final drafts to name a few. Faculty have three tries to win an NSF CAREER grant. I encourage you to register for tomorrow's session even if you are not intending to apply this year.
Along the same lines, the NSF Virtual Grants Conference will be held next week.
