This office will evaluate export licenses and regulations when traveling abroad with commodities, software, and technology.
Ask Export(a)utsa.edu to label the faculty abc123 (network ID) as “Traveling” so the faculty does not get locked out of UTSA resources while abroad.

COEHD’s Move to Downtown

Dear COEHD Faculty and Staff,
As you are already well aware, COEHD is shifting its home base to the downtown Durango building over the next several months. What makes this move exciting is that all our departments, centers, and administrative teams will now reside together under one roof, which could be a first for the college. Faculty, staff, and students will have opportunities to interact and engage like never before, fueling new possibilities for cross-cutting collaboration and innovation amid a vibrant, evolving urban setting in closer proximity to our key partners and stakeholders. There’s no question our future is brighter together sharing the same space.
The transition is well underway and will continue over the coming months, with full relocation completed by the start of Fall 2026. For your awareness, UT San Antonio offers a wide range of services<https://www.utsa.edu/about/campuses/downtown-experience/> and resources for students, faculty, and staff to help facilitate the move. Keep in mind that planned improvements in DT services are ongoing, and updates will be communicated regularly.

The COEHD Staff Excellence Awards are one way we pause to recognize and celebrate these meaningful contributions that so often happen behind the scenes but make a lasting impact.
We invite you to help us honor these colleagues by submitting nominations for the COEHD Staff Excellence Awards. Nominating a staff member is an opportunity to acknowledge exceptional service, leadership, innovation, or support that exemplifies the values of our college.

The Academy for Teaching Excellence (ATE) Research Center established in 2003 serves as a hub for innovation within UT San Antonio’s College of Education and Human Development, dedicated to preparing the next generation of culturally efficacious teachers. ATE has been recognized regionally and nationally for its impact in our community by the Texas Education Agency, Example of ¡Excelencia! White House Initiative on Educational Excellence, among others.
