As part of our ongoing effort to meet the accessibility standards established by the U.S. Department of Justice, we are continuing the process of updating our digital platforms and documents to ensure full compliance by April 24, 2026. All current inaccessible CV PDFs will be removed from faculty profiles on Friday, February 27. If you would like your CV to remain on your profile, it must be remediated to meet accessibility standards using Equidox<https://utsa.screenstepslive.com/a/1994487-getting-started-with-equidox#s...>. Documents that do meet accessibility requirements will not be uploaded to the website. Please note that the COEHD Communications team will not edit documents on your behalf.
We will be using Equidox, a web-based tool designed to efficiently create accessible PDFs by streamlining technical tasks such as headings, reading order, and alt text. There is an upcoming virtual Equidox training that is beginner-friendly and will be held on Monday, February 16 from 2:00-3:30pm. We strongly encourage faculty and staff to attend. 18th Annual COEHD Research Colloquium

Hello,
The 18th College of Education and Human Development Research Colloquium is taking place on Wednesday, February 25th at the UT San Antonio Main Campus in the HEB Ballroom. 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thank you for submitting proposals to present and for encouraging so many of your students to present. We received some great proposals, and we are excited by the opportunity for the researchers to share their research and for the community to engage with them.
The theme for the Research Colloquium is Artificial Intelligence versus the Authentic Mind: Challenges, Obstacles, and Opportunities for Academic Learning in the Disciplines. Dr. Fred Martin, the Interim Dean of the College of AI, Cyber and Computing?, will be providing the Keynote Address on “What is AI and How to Teach it to Anyone” at 5:00 p.m. A flyer for the Colloquium and the Keynote Address is attached. We encourage you to share this with your students and invite them to attend. Please ask them to RSVP using the link on the flyer so we can get an estimate of how many people will be attending.
We would also like to highlight the research being done within COEHD at the Colloquium. We will have a table where we can display books and publications from our College. If you would like to have your work displayed, please bring a copy of your book(s) or publication(s) to the Dean’s suite in MB 3.304 by Tuesday, February 24th. Please put a post-it on the inside of the book with your name and the office number to which it should be returned. You can also include flyers for ordering your books if you would like. Your work will be displayed at the Colloquium and returned to you the following week.

I wanted to bring your attention to an upcoming cross-campus training session on ORCID, SciENcv, and eRA Commons for creating biosketches, which will be held this week in Research and Innovation. You may find it beneficial to attend or to share this information with your college. Below is the notice that was distributed through the Research information channels, including the RA Teams.
We created a one-page getting started document attached, and three short videos are in production to help folks get their profiles established and aligned with federal Common Forms.
