Subject: UTSA Response to Undergraduate Students Impacted by Hurricane Harvey
Importance: High
Good morning,
Attached please find a memo from Dr. Agrawal regarding an expedited admissions/enrollment/advising process for students previously planning to attend universities in areas hard-hit by Hurricane Harvey who now wish to attend UTSA. We are anticipating 30 - 40 students will join UTSA between now and census date, which is Sept. 7th.
In addition, some of our current students have been activated as part of the Texas National Guard in response to Hurricane Harvey. Dr. Agrawal is asking all faculty for their understanding as these students help with the humanitarian efforts and to work with the students to allow them to make up any coursework they may miss.
Please forward this memo to your faculty and staff.
Thank you,
Debbie

Discussions With Information and Instructional Technology Manager
by Liliana Gutierrez
Greetings,
As Richard Rodriguez settles into his position as Instructional and Information Technology Manager , I have asked that he reach out to all of our faculty and units and staff who are working in an educational or instructional technology framework, either formally or informally. This will give him the opportunity to get to know you, and you him, and for him to get a good sense of the activities and initiatives that are occurring within the College and to see the space in which you operate.
I hope that your discussions are informative and that you can provide Richard with information about your work and your thoughts of Information and Instructional Technology and support within the COEHD.
