Durango Building Move: Safety & Campus Information
by COEHD Communications
Good afternoon COEHD Faculty & Staff,
Please see the message below on behalf of Dean Mario Torres.
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————
Hello COEHD Faculty and Staff,
I hope you all had a wonderful summer. We are approaching the finish line of our move to the Downtown Campus, and I truly appreciate your patience and support during this transition.
As we get settled into the Durango Building, please keep a few safety reminders in mind:
*
Moving comes with extra hazards and at a minimum proper use of equipment, such as ladders, tools, and heavy lifting, please take care when navigating these tasks
*
Watch for cluttered or obstructed walkways
*
Monitor others that may be in your care such as children
Your well-being is our priority. Over the next few weeks, you will continue to see movers, painters, and construction crews working throughout the building as we prepare for students to return.
I encourage you to stop by our new spaces in the Durango Building to see where everyone is located and reconnect with colleagues. Visit the UT San Antonio Downtown Campus<https://education.utsa.edu/about/downtown-campus/> on our website to familiarize yourself with dining options, parking, our COEHD directory, and more.
I am excited to welcome everyone back and kick off a great semester on August 19!
Sincerely,
Mario Torres, Ph.D.
