Re: Happy Retirement, Mike!!!
by Betty Merchant
Wow! Thanks for sharing this experience with us, Michael! You definitely have my sympathies as well as my most enthusiastic praise, regarding your insightful and extremely rationale decision-making process! Joe Murphy (our mutual friend and colleague at Vanderbilt) will certainly be proud of you for choosing to spend the rest of your life so wisely! As you know, you can’t measure the value of your work using the TEA yardstick—it’s those of us who have worked with you and benefitted from your efforts, who truly understand the significance of your contributions to UTSA!
Thank you, and continued best wishes in all your endeavors,
Betty

Dear Jerry,
I made my semi-monthly pilgrimage to Austin this morning, banged my head against the Texas Education Agency wall, and came away with nothing but a headache. I have too little time left to spend it arguing with bureaucrats or jumping through hoops to send them useless data. There must be a bike shop somewhere that needs a part-time mechanic. A kid on two wheels would at least be evidence my work mattered.
Thanks,
Mike

Dear Colleague,
Please be aware that UTS will be conducting key maintenance on Banner and Banner-related systems this weekend.
Beginning Saturday, July 20 at 8 a.m. CDT and lasting until Sunday, July 21 at 11 p.m., users will be unable to access their myUTSA Account, Passphrase Portal, Account Activation, AppWorx, Banner, DegreeWorks, and Xtender.
To offer the best possible service, we must regularly update and perform necessary maintenance on UTSA systems and networks.
