Dear Colleagues, If you use SPSS, you will likely start seeing warnings that your license will expire at the end of September. I am just writing to (a) confirm your SPSS should remain active through October, and (b) if you have SPSS on a laptop, then, in late October you may need to open a ticket with OIT to get an authorization code to manually update the license (which will be done automatically for desktop computers). For more info, see my communication with the person in charge, which is pasted below, FYI: Michael Dr. Karcher, We are waiting on Purchasing to process the PO. SPSS will continue to work until October 30th. You will continue to get the warning message about the license expiring or after September 30th, that the license is expired. If the faculty are on a desktop, it should be pointed to our license server. Once I update the license server, the next time that SPSS is launched, it will get the updated license. If they are on a laptop, they will need to request a new authorization code. To request a code, please have them contact OITConnect to enter a ticket. We will need the following information: Name, department, computer asset tag number and phone number. We will then send a code that has been assigned to the faculty member.
