Dear Colleagues:
Perhaps you are aware of this project, if so, forgive the duplication.
Luiz Loureiro the Executive Director of Fulbright Brazil is aware of the interest,
especially in Austin, Dallas and Houston, in Brazil and asked me to send this notice to
potentially interested colleagues at UT academic and health science institutions.
He and I worked last year on a framework that the Fulbright Commission would support.
Luiz has had good recent experiences with faculty members from UTD and UTAustin on his
program to modernize undergraduate engineering education in Brazil, and with MDAnderson on
a bilateral cancer research initiative.
If you are aware of faculty members who are interested in collaborative projects in the
areas identified in the attached one-pager, I know Luiz would appreciate receiving
US-Brazil proposals from UT.
Best,
Tom
