Subject: Fw: <Please Distribute> - New NSF Biosketch and C&PS Formats - Now
Available in SciENcv and on the NSF Website (Effective Jan. 30)
Please distribute this message below to investigators in your colleges, re: updates to NSF
Biosketch and Current and Pending Support templates/formats. These updated formats must be
used for submissions due on/after January 30.
I would also strongly encourage all NSF/NIH investigators to attend the SciENcv session
being offered January 19 at 2pm Central. This is a great tool (which will be required by
NSF come October 2023) that can make Biosketch preparation and maintenance much more
quick/efficient.

We in the RSC are here to assist and answer questions about these updates, as needed.
Dear Colleagues:
NSF implemented revised versions of the Biographical
Sketch<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F...
and Current and Pending (Other)
Support<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2...
formats for consistency with the Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide (PAPPG)
(NSF
23-1<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2...;).
The requirement to use the revised formats is effective for proposals submitted or due on
or after January 30, 2023.
These revised formats are now available in
SciENcv<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2...
and on the NSF Policy Office
website<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2...;.
As a reminder, the mandate to use SciENcv only for preparation of these senior personnel
documents will go into effect for new proposals submitted or due on or after October 23,
2023.
Staff from NSF and NIH will conduct a webinar to discuss the revised formats and
demonstrate the SciENcv system on Thursday, January 19th at 3:00 PM Eastern Time. Webinar
registration<https://nam11.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https...
is available now.
