Greetings COEHD Colleagues, A number of faculty members have previously expressed interest in two notable funding opportunities that are now open. There are quickly approaching Declaration of Intent and Intent to Apply deadlines that we need to be mindful of. The 2025 Andrew Carnegie Fellows Program supports high-impact research in the humanities and social sciences, with a current focus on addressing political polarization in the U.S. UTSA may nominate up to two full proposals. Faculty interested must submit a Limited Submissions Declaration of Intent (DOI) by Tuesday, August 5, 2025, including a title, short abstract, and list of key personnel. This is a planning grant, not a research implementation grant, and is a required precursor to applying for Spencer’s $3.5M Transformative Research Grant. Proposals must highlight intended systems change, interdisciplinary collaboration, and a clear path to real-world impact.
